The Kearney Bearcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kearney knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Lincoln Southwest likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Kearney humbled Columbus with a 79-41 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-20.

Kearney will need focus on slowing down Uzziah Sanders, one of several Lincoln Southwest players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 for 11 en route to 20 points. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakari Wilson, who posted ten points and six boards.
Kearney is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Lincoln Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Wednesday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Kearney has been crazy accurate this season, having nailed 47.7% of their field goals per game. However, it's not like Lincoln Southwest struggles in that department as they've nailed 48.2% of their shots this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
