After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pearl River Central, Terry was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints as they made off with a 9-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyssa Lake was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alana Lake, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Jaelah Washigton was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Terry lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Terry's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
