After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elite, the John Adams Academy Patriots were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 victory over the Patriots. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Isaiah McKee was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 14 rebounds. McKee is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luciano Allen, who scored 16 points along with six steals.
The Patriots now have a winning record of 8-7. As for the Patriots, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Adams Academy will take on Leroy Greene Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Adams Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pine Hills Adventist at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Pine Hills Adventist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday.
