The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Shawnee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Berkli Holtman out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Holtman continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Shawnee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.
Despite the loss, Hardin County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Benna Williams went 7-for-13 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. That was a full 59.3% of Hardin County's points, marking the 14th time in a row Williams has put up more than a third of the team's points.
Shawnee's record is now 16-5. As for Hardin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
