The Charlevoix Rayders lost to the Glen Lake Lakers back in January, but the Charlevoix Rayders didn't allow the Glen Lake Lakers the same satisfaction on Friday. Charlevoix came out on top against Glen Lake by a score of 52-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Charlevoix.
Despite the loss, Glen Lake saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Plamondon dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Plamondon scored a full 62.2% of Glen Lake's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Michael Houtteman, who scored 4 points.
Charlevoix's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Glen Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Charlevoix's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Gaylord focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Glen Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
