The Coolidge Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Gilbert Christian 61-40. Coolidge has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Alaysia White, who dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 17 rebounds, and ten steals. White is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Naylissa Charles, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Coolidge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Gilbert Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Coolidge will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Globe at 5:30 p.m. Globe is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Gilbert Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Florence at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully Florence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Monday.
