As for Westosha Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
For Westosha Central's part, Evan Leafblad was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs Leafblad has posted since back in May of 2024. Everett Lucero also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkhorn will square off against Wilmot at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westosha Central, they will face off against Waukesha West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
