Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cass Tech). They blew past the Mumford Mustangs 24-3 on Friday. The Technicians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Robert Ladner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Khari Kumasi was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
