Basketball Recap: Midtown's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

A well-balanced attack led Midtown over M.L. King in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Midtown Knights blew the M.L. King Lions out of the water with an 84-8 final score. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Devin Bockman, who went 11 of 15 on her way to 30 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Wortmann, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Despite the loss, M.L. King saw an underclassman step up: freshman Khloe Wilson posted six points.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46.7 points. As for M.L. King, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Midtown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-49 loss against Creekside on the 5th. As for M.L. King, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-10 defeat against Pace Academy on the 6th.
