Canyon is 6-0 against Seguin since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Canyon Cougars will be playing at home against the Seguin Matadors at 7:15 p.m. Canyon's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Canyon was not quite Smithson Valley's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 2-1. Canyon has struggled against Smithson Valley recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Seguin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. Their rough 5-2 loss to Veterans Memorial might stick with them for a while.
Canyon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Seguin, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
