 In other batting news,  Pajessa Baker was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Quinn Hoeper, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
Iowa-Grant's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Southwestern,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iowa-Grant will venture away from home to  challenge Barneveld  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Southwestern, they will head out to  face off against Riverdale  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
