With a playoff game on the line, the Maret Frogs rose to the challenge on Saturday. They beat KIPP DC Legacy College Prep by the very same score they won with last week: 44-6. Considering Maret has won ten matchups by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, KIPP DC Legacy College Prep still got an impressive performance from Jordan Stubbs, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. Stubbs was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.
Even if they lost, KIPP DC Legacy College Prep's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. James Hall was especially locked on to Maret's QB and sacked him three times.
The win (which was Maret's third in a row) raised their record to 11-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.33 points. As for KIPP DC Legacy College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5-1.
Maret is on the road again on Saturday and play against Coolidge. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Coolidge is ranked sixth, while Maret is ranked fifth). KIPP DC Legacy College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
