After a string of three wins, the Corydon Central Panthers's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 63-43 walloping at the hands of Scottsburg. While losing is never fun, Corydon Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 111th, while Scottsburg is ranked 20th).
 Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Alyssa Groover, who  scored 12 points along with 9  rebounds and 4  blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Vaughn, who  scored 16 points along with 3  steals.
 Corydon Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Scottsburg, the  win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corydon Central will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against Austin at 7:30  p.m.  on December 6th. As for Scottsburg, they will  challenge Trinity Lutheran at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Trinity Lutheran is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
