Luling has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Marion Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Luling was the victim of a tough 47-26 defeat at the hands of the Ro-Hawks. Luling has struggled against the Ro-Hawks recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Marion suffered a tough 51-27 loss at the hands of the Cougars last Friday. While losing is never fun, Marion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1085th, while the Cougars are ranked 385th).
Luling has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-20.
Things could have been worse for Luling, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January. Can Luling avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
