The Kongiganak Wolverines had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They had just enough and edged Chief Paul Memorial out 45-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kongiganak also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kongiganak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Miller, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Tinker, who scored 11 points.
Kongiganak pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Chief Paul Memorial, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Kongiganak will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Chief Paul Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
