In what's become a running theme this season, the Litchfield Purple Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-36 margin over Hillsboro. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Litchfield.
Litchfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keenan Powell, who scored nine points along with four steals. Powell hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Mcgill, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Hillsboro lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Matoush. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jace Stewart, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Litchfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Hillsboro, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
