Football Recap: Glen Ridge Piles Up the Points Against Dwight Morrow

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Ridge). They really took it to the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-6 victory. The Ridgers pushed the score to 30-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Maroon Raiders had little chance of recovering from.

Zach Konetzni had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 285 yards while picking up 17.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 101 yards and one TD. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.

Glen Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games. As for Dwight Morrow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Glen Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-20 loss against Cedar Grove on the 31st. Dwight Morrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
