Meanwhile, West Mesquite came up short against Adams on Tuesday and fell 58-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as West Mesquite came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Adams is ranked 759th).
Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for West Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-8.
Spruce was taken down by West Mesquite 59-31 in their previous matchup back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Spruce was down 35-10.
