On Friday Augusta will take on Hermitage at 7:00 PM. Hermitage will need to watch out since Augusta have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Last Friday, Augusta faced Decatur in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything came up roses for Augusta against Decatur as the team secured a 64-12 win. Followers of Augusta probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Hermitage have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took the game and then some with a 44-8 victory over Arkansas School for the Deaf. Hermitage were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Augusta to 4-2 and Hermitage to 2-4. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
