In what's become a running theme this season, the Camden Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They really took it to Crestwood for the full four quarters, racking up a 86-24 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Camden who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Joyce Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Camden's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyasia Carter, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Crestwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is London Vaughn. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crestwood struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Camden racked up 24 assists.
Camden's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.63 points. As for Crestwood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Camden will head out on the road to challenge Marlboro County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marlboro County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Crestwood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lakewood is ranked 116th, while Crestwood is ranked 95th).
