After flying high against the Avon Grove Red Devils last Friday, The Coatesville Red Raiders came back down to earth. Coatesville was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 21-20 to Central Bucks South. Coatesville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Bucks South apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2014.
Anthony Leonardi was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also picking up 65 receiving yards. Leonardi was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards. Chase Baratz was in the mix too, providing Central Bucks South with three touchdowns.
Coatesville's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Central Bucks South, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1.
Coatesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central Bucks South will head out on the road to face off against Spring-Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Spring-Ford is ranked 25th, while Central Bucks South is ranked 24th).
