Richland is a perfect 10-0 against Hanford since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bombers will be playing at home against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Richland comes in on seven and Hanford on eight.
Richland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Kamiakin, who was ranked 18th at the time (Richland was ranked second). The Bombers blew past the Braves 13-1 on Friday. Considering the Bombers have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Emmalee Mohr made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Payton Chacon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Sams, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Richland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kamiakin only posted a batting average of .087.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hanford and Chiawana, and Hanford kept the tradition alive. The Falcons walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Riverhawks on Friday.
The team relied heavily on Kenzie Hofstad, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Neve Jimenez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Hanford's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Richland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .425. However, it's not like Hanford struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Richland beat Hanford 6-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Bombers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
