The Two Roads Charter School Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Nederland Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Two Roads Charter School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Thursday, Two Roads Charter School was beaten by Weldon Valley 42-15. Two Roads Charter School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-2.
Meanwhile, Nederland struggled with assists on Thursday (Loveland Classical had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Nederland took a serious blow against Loveland Classical, falling 69-21. While losing is never fun, Nederland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Loveland Classical is ranked 80th).
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Gavin Dillon and Caedon Meyer. Meyer had a great game and scored 11 points along with eight steals. Meanwhile, Dillon did his best for the losing side, scoring seven points.
Two Roads Charter School bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.9 points per game. As for Nederland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
