Josh Keihle and Jaylin Grady provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Carrboro. The longest such play in 2A/1A Carolina 12 this season, the connection resulted in 98 yards.
The Jaguars extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cedar Ridge, 49-28. The win marks ninth in a row for the Carrboro.
The Fighting Red Wolves' dynamic duo of Keihle and Grady proved tough for Jason Tudryn's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Keihle threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns and Grady had 134 yards receiving. Robert Moore helped Cedar Ridge's passing attack out by catching three balls for 51 yards.
Kenny Walls was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 161 yards as South Granville lost to the Jaguars. Sean Bowman also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
On the ground, the Vikings' Bowman has rushed for 1056 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ansar Muhammad. The South Granville star has 24 catches for 381 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Granville Central takes on Carrboro. At the moment, the Panthers are in fourth, while the Jaguars are in first.
Granville Central took down Kestrel Heights 48-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jay Parker threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 27 yards in the win.
