Caprice Bohmer put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April on Tuesday. She struck out 15 batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances.

Bohmer's strong effort led Briar Woods over Independence and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are 6-1 against Independence going back to April of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
