Memphis East strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-58 W against the Madison Central Jaguars.

Despite the loss, Madison Central still got an impressive performance from Maddox Singletary, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 25 points. Thanks to that strong game, Singletary now owns an excellent 46.9% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hood, who posted ten points and five assists.

Memphis East's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Madison Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Memphis East will face off against Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Madison Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-46 loss against Northwest Rankin on the 29th.
