New Hope won the last time they faced East Lawrence and things went their way on Saturday too. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 4-3.

New Hope saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Baswell, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another was Hayley Parker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

New Hope hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.

New Hope has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-19-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for East Lawrence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.

New Hope didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Deshler on the 5th. As for East Lawrence, they are taking a road trip to challenge Good Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
