Softball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Wins Going Away Against Greenfield/Northwestern

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 9-3 to make it four. Everything went their way against the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers as they made off with a 16-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Mylee Tracy was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Tracy was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Lucie Dion was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lindy Parlier, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenfield/Northwestern only posted an OBP of .367.

As for Greenfield/Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. They haven't had much luck with Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

On Greenfield/Northwestern's side, Kalynn Weller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia has already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] on the 17th. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-10 victory against Griggsville-Perry on the 17th.
