The Columbia Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Forrest County Agricultural with a sharp 48-23 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Columbia.
Jakira Brown was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Columbia's points. Another player making a difference was Sariya Robinson, who scored eight points.
Columbia pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sumrall the next time they take the court. Columbia will head out to face Sumrall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Forrest County Agricultural will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th.
