The Grace Lancers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Desert Chapel 63-12 at home. The result was nothing new for Grace, who have now won four contests by 37 points or more so far this season.
Grace found their leader in underclassman Riley Williams, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 95 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Lasecla, who rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Grace's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Desert Chapel, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Grace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Desert Chapel will look to defend their home field on Friday against San Pedro at 7:00 p.m. San Pedro presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Desert Chapel in California (San Pedro is ranked 398th, while Desert Chapel is ranked 1038th).
