Softball Recap: Doral Academy Red Rock Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Doral Academy Red Rock entered their tilt with Eldorado on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Firehawks get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

EmmaLynn Hussey and Hailey Ufer were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Hussey pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ufer tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Hussey went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Ufer scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Emma Bauman was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Julianis Torres-Bermudez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
