College Prep & Leadership Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Robert Knotts III. The College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals came out on top against the Carver Yellowjackets by a score of 69-61 on Tuesday thanks in part to Knotts III, who dropped a triple-double with 26 points, 13 boards, and ten assists. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.
Another player making a difference was Kellen Robinson, who posted two points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024.
Despite the loss, Carver saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremiah Glaspie went 9-for-18 on his way to 26 points and three steals. Glaspie is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Kejuan Bruton was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.
College Prep & Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Carver, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
Coming up, College Prep & Leadership Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McGuinness will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something College Prep & Leadership Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
