Even though the Kuna Kavemen scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, the Spring Creek Spartans still came out on top. Spring Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Kuna and snuck past 69-67.
Spring Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaron Johnson out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Bylund, who scored 14 points.
The win got Spring Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Kuna, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Spring Creek will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against North Tahoe at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. Kuna and Elko will face off at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
