Even though the Farmington Phoenix scored an imposing 65 points on Thursday, the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs still came out on top. Crimson Cliffs managed a 71-65 victory over Farmington. The victory was all the more spectacular given Crimson Cliffs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Farmington is ranked third).
It was another big night for Sean Felts, who scored 21 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Crimson Cliffs' points. Luke Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The victory got Crimson Cliffs back to even at 2-2. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Crimson Cliffs will square off against Copper Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Copper Hills comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Farmington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Skyridge at 4:50 p.m. on December 8th.
