Calvert is a perfect 10-0 against Danbury since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Senecas will challenge the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Calvert made easy work of Elmwood and carried off a 23-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Senecas.

Braxton Shoemaker
| 04/04/26 @ Elmwood | 2 |
| 03/30/26 @ Old Fort | 1 |
| 05/10/25 @ St. Joseph Central Catholic | 1 |
| 05/05/25 @ Woodmore | 1 |
Braxton Shoemaker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Shoemaker was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
Calvert always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .681. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elmwood only posted an OBP of .500.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Danbury, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Cardinal Stritch 13-2 on Thursday.
Like Calvert, Danbury also got a great game from a two-way player: Logan Shepherd. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Shepherd was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Taylor Monak was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Tommy Dean was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Calvert's record is now 2-0. As for Danbury, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Calvert got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Danbury by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Senecas repeat their success, or do the Lakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
