Given East Stroudsburg North's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Easton Area is ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nate Wilder was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryceson Dobie, who scored 11 points.
Pocono Mountain West's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for East Stroudsburg North, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6.
Pocono Mountain West didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East Stroudsburg North in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pocono Mountain West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
