Conard is 0-3 against Manchester since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Conard Red Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Manchester Red Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Even though Conard has not done well against Weaver recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Conard took down Weaver 82-67. Conard's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Manchester entered their tilt with RHAM with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Manchester took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 83-56 victory over RHAM. Manchester has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Manchester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derrick Sheets led the charge by scoring 22 points. Quentin Ford was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Conard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Manchester, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Conard came up short against Manchester in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 45-39. Can Conard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
