Liberty Christian is 9-1 against Glass since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Hilltoppers at 5:30 p.m. Liberty Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Tuesday, Liberty Christian made easy work of Liberty and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
Tyler Jackson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Jackson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
In other pitching news, Landon Miller looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Reid Fanney was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bryce Torres, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Liberty Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Glass' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Liberty Christian's record is now 6-0. As for Glass, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
Liberty Christian beat Glass 9-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Hilltoppers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
