The Bradshaw Mountain Bears posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mohave with a sharp 54-30 victory. Given Bradshaw Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Mohave is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Mason Hunt, who scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Hunt is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Ranniker, who scored six points.
Bradshaw Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Mohave, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradshaw Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mingus at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Mingus is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Mohave won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Prescott at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Prescott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Mohave likes a good challenge.
