Geneva has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Cypress Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Geneva walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 victory over Brentwood Christian on Friday. The victory was just what Geneva needed coming off of a 74-7 loss in their prior match.
Jacob Rosenstiel went supernova for Geneva, rushing for 266 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. KP Fitzgerald also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Cypress Christian waltzed into two weeks ago's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 50-7 win over Bay Area Christian at home. Cypress Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 22 points or more this season.
Geneva has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Cypress Christian, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 7-3 record.
Geneva was taken down by Cypress Christian 44-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Geneva avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
