In what's become a running theme this season, the Centura Centurions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They put the hurt on Cozad with a sharp 52-28 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Centura.
Leading Centura to victory were Kennedy Davis and Kyra Wooden. Davis scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Wooden scored 19 points along with two steals. Davis hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Carlie Sokol was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Centura is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Cozad, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centura will take on Boone Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Centura is facing Boone Central at the right time seeing as Boone Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cozad, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Sandhills Valley at 12:00 p.m. on February 6th. Sandhills Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
