This season hasn't been kind to The Harrisburg Hornets, who are still winless after their tenth match. They were dealt a 47-6 defeat at the hands of Trumann on Friday. Harrisburg has struggled against Trumann recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Trumann had a senior duo take command as Jake Osment rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns and Cade Hatton rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Hatton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Kayden Dunavin was another key contributor, rushing for 59 yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Trumann's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Gavin Cubit and his two sacks.
Harrisburg's defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Trumann, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Harrisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trumann will head out on the road to face off against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Warren's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
