Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jay). They breezed by the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions to the tune of 66-16 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Jay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Mandell, who posted eight points and 12 boards. Mandell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Hayden Morris was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points.

Jay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, L.E.A.D. Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landon Palmer put up nine points.

Jay now has a winning record of 3-2. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Jay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-31 defeat against Blountstown on the 17th. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-44 loss against Aletheia Christian Academy on the 17th.
