The Cross Creek Razorbacks lost against the Morgan County Bulldogs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Cross Creek was beaten by Morgan County 51-6. Cross Creek has struggled against Morgan County recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Brandon Wallace threw for 171 yards on ten of 29 attempts. Cameron Nixon was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards. On the ground, Caron Walker rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Jaydon Dorsey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Dorsey really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Drew Ainslie did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Cross Creek has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Morgan County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Cross Creek will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hephzibah at 7:30 p.m. As for Morgan County, they will head out on the road to face off against Harlem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Harlem is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
