After losing to the Piqua Indians the last time they met, the Sidney Yellowjackets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went Sidney's way against Piqua on Friday as Sidney made off with a 60-37 win.
When it comes to explaining why Piqua lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah Martin. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Romen Medley, who scored five points along with four steals.
Sidney's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Piqua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sidney will finish 2023 at home by hosting Butler at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
