Hamilton has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Basha Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Hamilton faced the Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hamilton took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over the Tigers. Hamilton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.
Hamilton found their leader in underclassman Taylor Sipfle, who scored eight points along with five blocks. Reanna Farrington was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Basha played against the Gators and lost via forfeit.
Hamilton pushed their record up to 18-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Basha, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
Everything came up roses for Hamilton against the Bears in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the squad secured a 81-38 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Basha's Grace Beckler, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Hamilton still be able to contain Beckler? There's only one way to find out.
