Basketball Recap: Annapolis Area Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Annapolis Area Christian lost against McDonogh back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Annapolis Area Christian Eagles fell to the McDonogh Eagles 65-61. Annapolis Area Christian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rob Fields continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for McDonogh, going 9 for 11 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Fields is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeff Exinor, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Annapolis Area Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for McDonogh, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Annapolis Area Christian will take on St. Mary's in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Annapolis Area Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for McDonogh, they will head out to square off against Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McDonogh is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
