After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lowell, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Hobart Brickies as they made off with a 14-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Jordan Steele, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Evie Rivera, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hobart only posted a batting average of .310.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hobart, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Looking ahead, Highland will be playing in front of their home fans against Kankakee Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
