The Crown Point Panthers were the 61-54 winner over the Whitehall Railroaders when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Crown Point fell to Whitehall 66-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trevor Harris, who scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Stone, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Crown Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Whitehall, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Crown Point will head out on the road to face off against Fort Ann at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitehall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ticonderoga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
