The Miami Wardogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Oologah by a score of 36-27. This was payback for Miami, who suffered a 22-18 loss the last time these two teams met.
Hunter Nichols continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Nichols is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Logan Sumagpang also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
Miami's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Oologah, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami will take on Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. As for Oologah, they will be playing at home against Cushing at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
